Jerusalemin torilla ei muusta puhuttukaan
kuin viime päivien tapahtumista.
In the Jerusalem marketplace everybody were talking about
what had happened during last days.
Ruukkua kantava miehellä oli hiukan tarkempaa tietoa.
A man bearing a pitcher of water has something more to tell.
Jokunen päivä sitten kaksi miestä liittäytyi hänen seuraansa.
Some days ago there were two men who were following him.
Miehet kysyivät häneltä paikkaa viettääkseen
pääsiäisateriaa Jeesuksen ja hänen oppilaittensa kanssa.
Those men asked the guestchamber, where they could eat the passover
with Jesus and his disciples.
Tänne he sitten tulivat.
And then they came here.
Aterian jälkeen he veisasivat kiitosvirren
ja lähtivät Getsemanen puutarhaan.
After the passover they sang an hymn
and went to Gethsemane garden.
Getsemanen puutarhuri muisti hyvin tuon yön tapahtumat.
The gardener of Gethsemane remembered
very well what happened in the night.
Hän kertoi, että sotilaat tulivat ja veivät Jeesuksen kaupunkiin.
She told that solders came and took Jesus to the town.
Ylipapin palvelustytöllä oli saanut seurata hyvin läheltä
Jeesuksen viimeisiä hetkiä ennen tuomiota.
One of the maids of the high priest has seen very near
the last moments of Jesus before the
Jeesuksen kuolema ristillä oli tehnyt
sadanpäämieheen suuren vaikutuksen.
The death of Jesus affected
very strongly to the centurion.
Jeesus haudattiin
mutta nyt hauta on tyhjä!!
Jesus was buried
but now the tomb is empty!
